Our deepest sympathy and condolences to you all, Doreen, Paul, Rob, Chris and families at this very sad loss for you all.

Our families grew up together with each other on either end of Glendora Park throughout the 1960's and despite mine moving to England in 1969, have managed to stay in some contact and/or visit on occasion over the past 50 years.

Ron was truly one of life's very best 'good guys' and such a gentle and kind person. He will be deeply missed by my family and many, many more who were lucky to have known him - but hopefully the happy memories we will always have of the man will always bring us the joy that he brought to others.

I am sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I hope fond memories of Ron will help you during this difficult time. I have quite a few fond memories of Ron as well. I remember my families time at the cottage, where Mr. Rooke was now known to my sister and myself as Uncle Ron. The Christmas dinner we shared our families together at a hotel restaurant. The last time was many years ago when my husband and myself dropped into visit when the Rookes lived in North York. It was great to see him again. Condolences to Dorreen and her family. Love Always Cathy, Rocco and family. A donation to Canadian Cancer society has been given in memory of Ron.

Doreen and family please accept our condolences.

Ron and I met while attending a Running Club in the late 70s in downtown Toronto. Through rain, hail or snow, we ran our 5 mile route daily for over 25 years. Our conversations were varied and interesting, but usually ended up with discussing the ineptitude of the Maple Leafs. After retirement, we met regularly for golf and lunch, usually at Bushwood in Markham.

I will miss my special buddy and truly appreciated his mature, kind and knowledgeable manner.

I will miss him dearly.
